The fixtures for the 2009/10 Season were released today, along with news that Team 66 would not be able to play until the 19th November. The Delay is caused by club captain Chris Cooke's marriage to club director Rosemary Akufo-Tetteh on the 23rd of October. While this is after the opening fixtures, there are still many preperations to be made before the big day. Not only that but after the wedding there is the Honeymoon. This will keep the couple busy until November the 8th of November and the following matchday is on the 19th November. The Worcester River Plate 7 Fixtures organiser is working hard to accomodate these circumstances and news of Team 66's first fixture will be published here first. Until then Team 66 will still appear in the league table, so don't be alarmed to see the club at the bottom on 0 points.
Club captain Chris Cooke had this to say about todays news:
"Obviously I am very pleased that the Club and the League are able to accomodate our big day. So many appologies and a big Thank you to Tim Lovell and all the other clubs for allowing this to happen. While we look forward to our wedding and Honeymoon we also know we'll have alot of catch-up to play when we return to league action."
